|

Before the analog signals were cut off our karaoke equipment worked fine on channel 3. Now that all channels are digital and using a converter we cannot get a blue screen on channel 3 to show the words to the music.
The equipment is quite old and prior to the change the antenna hooked to a modulator and then to the tv and the cd+g player connected to the modulator.
Do you have any suggestions on how to make the equipment work now that it has switched over? We cannot afford to buy all new equipment.
Thank you |

| Converting to digital does not affect your karaoke system at all. The issue probably only has to do with your connections. Your television is not receiving the correct input from your karaoke system. Maybe whoever connected your convertor improperly connected the karaoke audio and video cables. There are plenty of people who had no problem after going digital. |

| If you're TV doesn't allow two connections, you may have to plug in only 1 at a time. Either the converter box, or the karaoke system. Just make sure you aren't plugging the karaoke player into the converter box although I've only seen this on one converter. |

| We've tried connecting with the converter and the way we used to without the converter. When TV is on channel 3 it says weak signal with the converter on. We just never had any problem with it until the switch from analog to digital. If you are saying channel 3 should still work regardless of the switch, I guess we will buy some new cables and see if that is what the problem is. Thanks again for your help |

Connecting a karaoke machine directly to a TV is totally independent and does not need a converter box.
Does your karaoke machine connect to the TV using an RF cable or RCA cable? If RCA (Yellow, Red, White), you most likely need to select the proper input source on your TV. An RF connection will usually use channel 2,3 or 4. |
